HIST 610 Early American Studies Seminar

Richter

Taught as schedule allows (consult the Course Directory)

Students will attend the McNeil Center’s Friday Seminar series for an entire academic year, including approximately twenty sessions for which papers of 30-40 pages are precirculated. Seminar papers are interdisciplinary and span a range of research on North America in the Atlantic World before 1850. At the end of the academic year, each student will produce a 20-25 page state-of-the-field historiographical paper reflecting on the work presented at the seminar. Although semianr attendance will begin in the fall semester, students will register for and receive credit for the course in the spring semester.
