HIST214 - AMERICAN PROTEST

Description:
This course will explore traditions of "American Protest" from the late eighteenth to the early twenty-first century: from anti-federalism to Occupy Wall Street. We will be reading original texts from a variety of view points and consider how individuals or social groups attempted to challenge what they saw as the prevailing social and cultural system and what sort of alternatives they imagined for themselves and the society at large.
