Description: 
This course has two objectives: 1) to introduce students to the history and historiography of world history, and 2) to explore a variety of teaching strategies for an undergraduate course in world history. In addition to learning about the principal personalities, debates, and venues for debates (academic journals) in world history in the English language from the 1980s to the present, students will craft an undergraduate world history course of their own, complete with a syllabus, lectures, powerpoints, and a bibliography of primary and secondary source readings.
