A 70-Year Struggle: The History of the Battle for LGBT Civil Rights

Lillian Faderman is a scholar of lesbian history and literature, as well as ethnic history and literature. Among her many honors are six Lambda Literary Awards, two American Library Association Awards, and several lifetime achievement awards for her scholarship. She is the author of The Gay Revolution, a New York Times Notable Book and a Washington Post Notable Nonfiction Book in 2015. She also received two other New York Times Notable Books recognitions for Surpassing the Love of Men and Odd Girls and Twilight Lovers.
