Serge Gruzinski is Professor of Latin American history at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales and is the director of research at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, both in Paris. Among his books published in English are Images at War (2001), The Mestizo Mind (2002), and The Eagle and the Dragon (2014).
