Professor of History
David Ludden specializes in comparative world and South Asian history. His research and teaching explore social, economic, cultural, and political change from ancient times to the present. He is particular concerned to connect historical studies with contemporary debates and struggles in South Asia, and to extend geographical routines of historical studies beyond the boundaries of national states.
