Personal Statement

I am a graduate student in the early stages of my PhD with interests in late twentieth century Soviet and Russian history. I am interested in Russia’s role in the system of international relations and the impact of transnational trends on the development of Soviet and Post-Soviet institutions and social groups. I am also interested in the development, content and social dynamics of ideology and its role in forming the group identities of political and economic elites.
