Dissertation Topic
Research interrogates transitions in black political representation and the role of electoral politics on the local level in the urban north during the post-civil rights and Black Power era. Current project focuses on the intersections of the institutional power of electoral politics and Black social and political representation in the city of Philadelphia between 1964 and 1989.
