Research Interests
My dissertation attempts an historical ethnography of Zimbabwean/Southern African Pentecostal communities in the United States with particular focus on the ways that migration and media have created new opportunities for transnational community building among black christians. Beyond that, I am also specifically interested in women's networks, missionary mobilization and circulations, charismatic popular cultures, Pentecostalism and the state, and eschatology.
