Brief Personal Statement
I am interested in nationality policies in the Soviet Union, particularly with regard to the Caucasus. My dissertation uses the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic as a case study to examine how Soviet citizens inhabited national identity in the middle of the "Soviet century."
