B.A. in History, Rice University; J.D., University of Pennsylvania

Research Interests

I'm interested in legal education and legal professionalization in the late-eighteenth and early-nineteenth century. My dissertation is centered on America's first law school, which was established in Litchfield, Connecticut by Tapping Reeve. My work explores the way a Litchfield education influenced Reeve's students and helped to establish an American legal culture.
