Vanessa Ogle's book manuscript was awarded this year's President's Book Award from the Social Science History Association.
The prize is given each year to the author of a "first book by a beginning scholar." Ogle's book, "Contesting Time: The Global Struggle For Uniformity and Its Unintended Consequences, 1870s-1950s," will be published in fall 2015 by Harvard University Press.
