2016 Rose Award for Undergraduate Research

The 2016 Rose Award for Undergraduate Research has been given to three History Majors: Otto Kienitz, Varun Menon, and Aaron Senior. The Rose Award recognizes “outstanding undergraduate research projects completed by graduating seniors under the supervision of a Penn faculty member.”  The award is very competitive, and submissions come from all of Penn’s schools.  Otto, Varun, and Aaron won the award for their History Honors Thesis projects, detailed below.

Advisor: Walter McDougall

Varun Menon, “One Nation Overseas: the Statecraft of the United States Congress in the Age of Democratic Revolutions”
