Lacy Feigh receives not one, but two highly prestigious dissertation awards—the Fulbright US Student Program and an SSRC IDRF!
Lacy received the Fulbright US Student Program Fellowship and will spend October of 2018-Spring of 2019 in Ethiopia. For all of 2019, she will be splitting time between Ethiopia, Oman, Qatar, and the UK with funding from the SSRC Mellon IDRF.
Lacy’s dissertation is currently titled: “Navigating Labor: Networks of Slavery, Migration, and Consumption in the Northwest Indian Ocean, 1919-1974.” Her committee is: Prof. Lee Cassanelli (advisor); Prof. Eve Troutt-Powell; and Prof. Firoozeh Kashani-Sabet.
