Conor Donnan Awarded Adam Smith Fellowship

Conor Donnan was awarded the Adam Smith Fellowship from the Mercatus Center at George Mason University.  The aim of these fellowships is to introduce students to and encourage them to critically engage key thinkers in political economy that they might not otherwise encounter during their graduate studies.

 

Conor’s dissertation is titled An “Empire of Liberty?” Irish Catholics, Native Americans, and American Imperialism in the trans-Mississippi West between 1841 and 1924.  His committee is: Walter Licht (Supervisor); Eiichiro Azuma; Kathy Peiss; and Adolph Reed (Political Science).
