[POSTPONED] Workshop in the Global Nineteenth Century

| Van Pelt Library, room 627

The January 26th workshop is cancelled due to the weather. New date TBA.

Our first session features Dani Holtz, doctoral candidate in History at the University of Pennsylvania.  Dani joins us to discuss a chapter from her dissertation, which examines the history of conservatism in nineteenth-century political discourse. The pre-circulated chapter, entitled "Some Cant Designation: How the Conservative Party Got Its Name" is available to Penn students, faculty, and staff at this link, along with a short abstract to contextualize the paper in the larger project.  Others may request the paper via e-mail to emmateit@sas.upenn.edu
