Education

Richard S. Dunn was the Roy F. and Jeannette P. Nichols Professor Emeritus of American History when he retired from Penn in 1996, and founded and was the first director of the McNeil Center for Early American Studies. He completed his B.A. in 1950 at Harvard College, his M. A. from Princeton University in 1952, and received his Ph. D. in history from Princeton University in 1955.
